Ann Pollen who was sentenced today to an 18 month suspended sentence was represented by the TV Edwards Crime team.
Claire Dissington was the instructed solicitor and Farhana Rahman-Cook solicitor and Partner at TV Edwards was the Junior Counsel.
The judge commented that the case was “wholly exceptional”.
Claire Dissington commented:
“ Ann has faced a murder allegation for over 18 months, she should never have been charged with murder. The Prosecution conceded this to the judge when questioned on the first day of trial, advising that they accepted there was no realistic prospect of conviction and never was.”
