Ayesha is a paralegal in the Mental Health department. She can provide advice on all aspects of the Mental Health Act. In particular, she regularly provides advice on detention under the different sections of the Mental Health Act and the ways in which a patient can seek their discharge. This includes advice and assistance with Mental Health Tribunals, Hospital Managers’ Hearings and Nearest Relative discharge applications.
Ayesha’s calm and approachable manner when dealing with her clients helps them feel more at ease during difficult and stressful times. She will go to all efforts to make sure her clients get the best possible service and meet her client’s objectives. She is competent and knowledgeable to the standard expected of TV Edwards and its reputation.
Ayesha started with TV Edwards in July 2018 having come from a firm where she has also undertaken work as a mental health paralegal. Since starting work in this field she has developed invaluable experience that has given her a high level of competency but also a passion for helping people affected by the Mental Health Act. She strives to do her best for those in their time of need and when they are most vulnerable.
Ayesha also has experience and knowledge in housing law.
Ayesha graduated from City, University of London in 2017 with a LLB Law Degree. She is studying her Legal Practice Course (LPC LLM) at the University of Law, Moorgate and is due to finish in July 2019.
Ayesha’s passion for representing people from all walks of like is evident from her participation in various Pro-Bono work throughout her legal studies. She has also taken part in and continues to participate in charity events including, Race for Life and fundraising for animal welfare.
