TV Edwards Solicitors move in to the Albany theatre

On the 16th December 2013 TV Edwards joined the Albany Deptford.

The first community based solicitors to work from within the Albany.

Standing alongside organisations at the heart of delivering advice and support to Deptford and London.

The Albany’s roots are in improving the plight of Deptford’s community. Set up in 1894, poverty and deprivation were rife, exacerbated by the closure of the docks in 1869. The Albany has played a vital role for the people of Deptford for over 100 years.

On the other side of the Thames, TV Edwards set up in Whitechapel in 1929 and have continued with their commitment to offer community legal advice despite the recent devastating cuts to Legal Aid. With 6 offices across London the Albany partnership strengthens TV Edwards’s ability to reach those in most need.

Managing Partner Julian Overton commented:

"By joining forces with the Albany Community, TV Edwards aim to enhance and expand the delivery of holistic community based legal advice right on the doorstep of Deptford."
